Role Overview

The Transition Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of transitioning Financial Operations Business Processes from an existing vendor/onshore team to the Global Capability Center (GCC).

This role is responsible for ensuring structured knowledge transfer, operational readiness, effective risk management, and seamless business continuity while maintaining strong stakeholder alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive transition plan covering scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and governance structure.
  • Conduct detailed due diligence to understand current-state processes, systems, transaction volumes, SLAs, KPIs, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions between vendor teams, internal SMEs, and GCC resources.
  • Oversee creation and validation of documentation including SOPs, process maps, control narratives, training decks, and operational playbooks.
  • Identify transition risks, manage escalations, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure a disruption-free migration.
  • Drive stakeholder communication and provide regular updates to leadership on transition progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Ensure operational readiness and stabilization post-transition with defined success metrics.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in Financial Operations and Business Process Transitions (Vendor to GCC / Shared Services / Captive setup).
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes including:
  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
  • Order-to-Cash (O2C)
  • Record-to-Report (R2R)
  • Statutory Reporting
  • Experience managing cross-functional and global stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and governance experience.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and drive structured execution.
