Role Overview

The Senior Transition Manager cum Delivery Manager will lead end-to-end transition and delivery activities for a large enterprise customer, ensuring seamless migration of services (AMS, Consulting, Projects etc..), operational excellence, and adherence to contractual commitments. This role combines strategic transition planning with hands-on delivery management, requiring strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and deep understanding of SAP and enterprise IT landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

Transition Management:

  • Planning & Governance:
  • Develop and execute detailed transition plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Establish governance frameworks and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for transition-related activities with the customer and internal teams.
  • Conduct regular steering committee meetings and provide transparent status reporting.
  • Knowledge Transfer & Documentation:
  • Drive structured knowledge transfer from incumbent teams to NTT DATA Business Solutions teams.
  • Ensure all documentation (processes, SOPs, SLAs) is complete and validated.
  • Risk & Issue Management:
  • Identify potential risks early and implement mitigation plans.
  • Manage escalations effectively to maintain customer confidence.

Delivery Management

  • Service Delivery Oversight:
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of SAP and related IT services post-transition.
  • Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and operational performance metrics.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead cross-functional teams including SAP consultants, technical experts, and support staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Financial & Contractual Management:
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and drive profitability.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build strong relationships with customer leadership and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Identify opportunities for service improvement and additional value creation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience:
  • 12+ years in IT service delivery and transition management, preferably in SAP environments.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale transitions for enterprise customers.
  • Leadership & Communication:
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead large teams and manage complex, multi-vendor environments.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
  • PMP or PRINCE2
  • ITIL Foundation
  • SAP-related certifications
