We are seeking an experienced Transformer Design Manager (Electrical) to lead our transformer design team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and a proven track record in transformer design and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical transformers from concept through to production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance and safety standards.
• Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance to junior engineers in the design process.
• Analyze and validate transformer designs through simulations and testing.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in transformer design.
• Prepare and present design documentation and specifications for internal and external stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10-20 years of experience in transformer design and development.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles and transformer operation.
• Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) tools and electromagnetic simulation software.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to lead a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
