The Regulatory Reporting Specialist will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant reporting under multiple global regulatory regimes, including EMIR, MIFID II, SFTR, and CFTC. This role requires strong operational expertise, and management skills and the ability to collaborated with compliance, technology, and front-office teams.

What you will be responsible for

As Team Leader you will

Business-As-Usual (BAU) Work

  • Execute daily reporting obligations under EMIR, MiFID II, SFTR, and CFTC.

  • Perform reconciliations between internal systems and trade repositories.

  • Maintain operational controls, checklists, and reporting procedure manuals.

Exception Management

  • Monitor and resolve reporting exceptions and breaks across trade repositories.

  • Investigate root causes of rejected or mismatched submissions.

  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior management and track resolution.

Client Requests & Queries

  • Act as the first point of contact for client queries related to regulatory reporting.

  • Provide timely, accurate responses and coordinate with internal teams to resolve client concerns.

  • Document client interactions to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing.

Escalation Process and other

  • Follow established escalation protocols for unresolved exceptions or client issues.

  • Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders during high-impact incidents.

  • Ensure t Job Requirements:

  • Communicate with multiple internal departments (Trading, Middle Office, Static Data, Payments, Investigations, IT) to resolve breaks, counterparty queries and trade discrepancies on a time sensitive basis.

  • Clearly communicate and escalate issues that impact business in a timely manner

  • Maintain MIS for monthly reporting to senior management

  • Stay informed of regulatory changes and work with management to develop processes for implementation of new reporting requirements

  • Maintain detailed procedures and documentation for the above processes

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or equivalent

  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in banking or financial services

  • Strong Knowledge of any two regulations EMIR, MIFID II, SFTR, and CFTC reporting requirements

  • Excellent communication, documentation and organizational skills

  • Proven track record of successful project execution

  • Ability to multi-task and work under high pressure deadlines

  • Ability to reprioritize timely

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work with other departments and represent the team in a positive manner

  • High level of interpersonal skills and integrity

  • Chartered Accountant certification (not required but beneficial)

  • Familiarity with financial products and financial institution operations.

Skills/ Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and ability to manipulate data

  • Knowledge of Regulatory Reporting software/Portal (e.g. Report Hub, Captech, Bloomberg, TRAX) a plus

  • Proven ability to write, tune and execute complex SQL queries

  • Financial and accounting skillset - knowledge of regulatory reports and forms

  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
