We are looking for a skilled Training Manager to ensure every member of our team upholds our high standards of service, safety, and culinary excellence.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and engaging Training Manager to oversee all learning and development initiatives for our corporate catering teams across Bengaluru. This role is critical to maintaining the consistency and quality of service that Food Whisperer promises its clients.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and assessing training programs for a diverse workforce, including site managers, kitchen staff, and service personnel, focusing heavily on F&B protocols and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Design and Development

  • Design and develop comprehensive training modules and materials covering food safety, hygiene (HACCP/FSSAI standards), customer service, soft skills, and specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for corporate catering sites.
  • Create job-specific training paths for new hires, including Site Managers, Kitchen Stewards, and Service Associates.
  • Update training content regularly to reflect new industry best practices, client requirements, and regulatory changes.

2. Training Delivery and Execution

  • Conduct engaging, hands-on training sessions and workshops at the central kitchen and various client sites across Bengaluru.
  • Manage the full onboarding process for new employees, ensuring they are job-ready and integrated into the Food Whisperer culture.
  • Coordinate refresher training programs for existing staff to continuously improve service quality and efficiency.

3. Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all training documentation is meticulous and auditable, proving compliance with FSSAI and internal quality control standards.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance and Operations teams to identify recurring performance gaps and design targeted interventions.
  • Implement a Train-the-Trainer program to empower site managers to conduct micro-trainings locally.

4. Assessment and Reporting

  • Establish clear metrics and methodologies (e.g., surveys, skill tests, on-site observations) to assess the effectiveness of all training programs.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on training completion rates, assessment results, and the impact of L&D initiatives on operational performance (e.g., service ratings, audit scores).

Candidate Profile

Experience & Background:

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a dedicated Training and Development role, preferably within the F&B, Hotel, or large-scale Corporate Catering industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training content related to food safety (HACCP/FSSAI) and customer service.
  • Familiarity with the operational environment of corporate cafeterias or multi-site service delivery.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Instructional Design: Strong ability to translate complex operational procedures into clear, engaging, and actionable training content.
  • Presentation Skills: Excellent public speaking and facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Adaptability: Capacity to conduct training both virtually and in physical, operational environments.
  • Documentation: Proficiency in creating professional reports, presentations, and training manuals (MS Office Suite).

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
  • Certification in Instructional Design or Food Safety (e.g., HACCP) is highly advantageous.
