The Training Associate will drive hands-on skill development across the manufacturing floor by executing structured training programs focused on quality, safety, and productivity. The role is deeply practical and rooted in real production processes, not classroom theory.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Execution (Core Focus)- Conduct hands-on training for shop-floor teams in:
- Welding (spot welding, finish control, defect prevention)
- Polishing & surface finishing
- Product finish standards (visual, tactile, acceptance criteria)
- Assembly processes (method, sequence, torque, fit & finish)
- Packing & packaging (handling, protection, final inspection)
- Train operators on SOPs, work instructions, quality checkpoints, and safety norms
- Support induction training and skill certification for new joiners
Training Coordination- Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and HR to identify skill gaps
- Plan and execute training without impacting daily production targets
- Coordinate with internal experts and external trainers when required
Content & Documentation- Develop simple, visual training material (SOPs, job aids, videos, checklists)
- Maintain skill matrices, training attendance, assessments, and certifications
- Ensure training records are audit-ready at all times
Effectiveness & Continuous Improvement- Conduct post-training assessments and on-job evaluations
- Observe shop-floor behavior to ensure training translates into execution
- Continuously refine training content based on defects, rework, and feedback
Required Skills & CompetenciesTechnical- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and shop-floor workflows
- Hands-on exposure to welding, polishing, assembly, and finishing processes
- Working knowledge of quality standards, safety practices, and basic lean tools
Behavioral- Clear communicator who can explain complex processes in simple terms
- Patient, practical, and respected on the shop floor
- High ownership with a strong bias toward execution
Tools- MS Excel and PowerPoint for training records and materials
- Comfort with visual and video-based training methods
Education- Diploma / Graduate in Engineering, Industrial, or related field.
