Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom and practical training as per the DGT curriculum for IoT Technician (Smart City) trade.
  • Conduct hands-on training on IoT devices, sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, and smart city applications.
  • Train students on embedded systems, industrial automation, networking, cloud platforms, and data communication.
  • Develop lesson plans, training schedules, practical assignments, and assessment tools.
  • Monitor trainee attendance, progress, and performance.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, training records, and inventory.
  • Conduct internal assessments and support certification processes.
  • Mentor students for projects, industry exposure, and employment opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with NSQF, NCVT, DGT, and institutional guidelines.
  • Coordinate with management and industry partners for training effectiveness and placement support.

Required Qualification

Option 1

B.Voc / Bachelor's Degree in:

  • Electronics Engineering
  • Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
  • Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering

From an AICTE/UGC-recognized institution with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

OR

Option 2

Diploma (Minimum 2 Years) in:

  • Electronics
  • Electronics & Telecommunication
  • Electronics & Communication
  • Electronics & Instrumentation

From an AICTE-recognized Board of Technical Education or relevant Advanced Diploma (Vocational) from DGT with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

OR

Option 3

NTC/NAC in IoT Technician (Smart City) Trade with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.

Mandatory Requirement

  • National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC) under DGT (Regular or RPL Variant).
  • Strong practical knowledge of IoT systems and electronics.

Experience

  • Experience in skill development projects, ITIs, Polytechnics, Training Institutes, or Industry Training Centers will be preferred.
