Job Summary
The Google Workspace Trainer will be responsible for designing and delivering training programs for faculty members on Google Workspace for Education. The role focuses on improving digital teaching competencies, facilitating the adoption of Google tools in classrooms, and supporting faculty in integrating technology into teaching and learning practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct hands-on training sessions and workshops on Google Workspace for Education tools, including Google Classroom, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Drive, Meet, Calendar, and other collaboration applications.
- Train and mentor existing faculty members to effectively integrate Google Workspace into classroom teaching and academic workflows.
- Design and develop training materials, user guides, learning resources, and digital content.
- Assess faculty learning needs and customize training programs accordingly.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and post-training support to faculty members.
- Promote best practices in digital teaching, collaboration, assessment, and productivity using Google Workspace.
- Assist faculty in preparing for Google Educator certification (where applicable).
- Stay updated with the latest Google for Education features, AI-enabled tools, and educational technology trends.
- Coordinate with academic departments and IT teams to ensure smooth implementation of digital learning initiatives.
- Monitor training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
- Maintain records of training sessions, attendance, certifications, and faculty progress.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in any discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Education, Information Technology, or Educational Technology.
- Google Certified Educator Level 1 (Google L1 Certification) – Mandatory.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in delivering Google Workspace or Google for Education training programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Certified Educator Level 2 or Google Certified Trainer certification.
- Experience in faculty development, teacher training, or educational technology.
- Experience working in a university, college, or educational institution.
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and blended learning methodologies.
