About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic professional to lead strategic trainer development initiatives across multiple platforms.
Government - Drive trainer development initiatives at the central government level (with MSDE. DGT), specifically contributing to the NSTI upgrade scheme to transform five selected NSTIs into National Centres of Excellence (NCOEs) for trainer development .
State Program - Work with Learning Experience & State Program Teams to help formulate state strategies on trainer development, oversee implementation of pilots, document learnings, disseminate insights etc
Ecosystem - Support Trainer Development work with FRSN Partners and facilitate stakeholder dialogues and collaboration around this theme
Role Description
Work with Central Government (advocacy) to drive adoption of trainer development strategies and interventions
- Develop insights, strategies and recommendations to strengthen trainer development practices across the ITI ecosystem, building on existing research & insights.
- Operationalize the Trainer Development strategy and roadmap for NSTIs in focus states where Quest is present.
- Design and support tailored implementation for NSTIs in non-focus states.
- Participate in dialogues, advocacy events and drive integration of trainer development strategies into critical schemes like NSTI upgrade.
- Contribute to strategic consultations related to the NSTI upgrade scheme, including the National Steering Committee and State PMUs Work with Program State Teams to enhance trainer development practice on-ground
- Translate recommendations from the Trainer Development Paper into pilot concepts that LE team can design for State Teams to implement (e.g., recognition, CPD models, online trainer databases, volunteer programs).
- Support the development of pilot plans, tools, and facilitation materials in consultation with LE, state teams and partners.
- Gather field feedback, document learnings, and package them into reports, case studies, and knowledge products.
- Foster cross-state learning by sharing tools, insights, and practices across teams.
- Mentor state teams on inclusive practices that strengthen agency, confidence, and work readiness of ITI Trainers.
- Support rollout of pilots, monitor implementation, and troubleshoot challenges.
