Department: AI Transformation Office (AITO)
Position Overview
The Trainer plays a critical role in AITO's mission to build institutional AI literacy across UPES, Pearl Academy, and partner organizations. This position involves designing, developing, and delivering high-quality AI training programs tailored to diverse audiences—from first-year undergraduates to faculty and senior leadership. The Trainer works collaboratively with the Capacity Building team to create scalable, institution-aligned learning experiences that foster informed, ethical, and effective AI adoption across the university.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum & Content Development
- Design and develop AI literacy training curricula aligned with institutional strategy and learner needs across seven schools and disciplines
- Create polished, discipline-aware training materials (slide decks, workbooks, case studies) that meet institutional quality standards
- Develop discipline-specific examples and benchmarking frameworks (e.g., comparing curricula against top-20 world universities)
Training Delivery & Facilitation
- Deliver engaging, interactive training sessions to diverse audiences—undergraduate cohorts, faculty, AI Champions, and senior leaders—across in-person, online, and blended formats
- Facilitate trainings using modern pedagogical approaches and interactive tools (e.g., Mentimeter, live polling, breakout sessions) to maximize participant engagement and learning outcomes
- Adapt delivery style and content depth based on audience expertise level, institutional context, and real-time feedback
Trainer & Champion Development
- Coach, mentor, and upskill AI Champions and faculty trainers to build institutional training capacity
- Provide constructive feedback on training delivery, materials quality, and pedagogical approach
- Develop train-the-trainer resources and best-practice guides for scalable, consistent delivery
Progress Tracking & Reporting
- Track training participation, completion, and learning outcomes across institutions and departments
- Contribute to dashboards and reporting systems that measure training effectiveness and inform capacity-building strategy
- Collect and synthesize participant feedback to continuously refine training content and delivery methods
Stakeholder Engagement & Institutional Representation
- Engage with academic departments, school leadership, and institutional stakeholders to understand training needs and maintain alignment with institutional strategy
- Represent AITO's work to senior leadership; present training outcomes, progress, and recommendations for strategic decisions
- Coordinate across UPES, Pearl Academy, and partner organizations to ensure cohesive, scalable training programs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, instructional design, computer science, business, or related discipline)
- 3+ years of experience in training delivery, curriculum design, or adult education
- Demonstrated ability to design and facilitate engaging, multi-modal learning experiences
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Experience working in institutional or organizational settings; familiarity with higher education or corporate L&D environments preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Business, Technology, or a related field
- Knowledge of or hands-on experience with AI tools, machine learning concepts, or data literacy
- Experience with interactive training platforms (Mentimeter, Zoom, learning management systems, etc.)
- Track record of designing training programs that drive measurable behavioral or institutional change
- Experience building trainer capacity or mentoring peer instructors

Working Conditions
This role involves working across UPES's seven schools, Pearl Academy, and partner organizations. Travel within Delhi NCR and occasional overnight travel for off-campus training may be required. The position offers a collaborative environment and exposure to strategic institutional work.
