Overview

We are looking for a motivated and analytically inclined Finance Analytics & Automation Trainee to support finance transformation initiatives within GTC. The role will focus on data analytics, reporting automation, and application of AI/ML concepts in finance and business processes.

This position is ideal for a fresher with a strong interest in combining finance fundamentals with data, automation, and AI.

Your role

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for finance, productivity, AR, and management reporting.
• Support process automation using Power Automate (e.g., data refresh, approvals, reporting workflows).
• Perform data analysis and scripting using Python for finance datasets.
• Assist in applying basic Machine Learning / AI concepts (forecasting, classification, anomaly detection) in business use cases.
• Work with finance teams on cost, revenue, margin, productivity, and operational datasets.
• Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, and alignment with accounting principles.
• Document solutions, logic, and dashboards for handover and scalability.

About you

Working knowledge of Power BI (DAX, data modeling, visuals).

Exposure to Power Automate (flows, triggers, connectors).

Basic to intermediate Python (Pandas, NumPy, basic visualization).

Awareness of Machine Learning & Generative AI concepts (models, use cases, limitations).

• Commerce background
• Basic understanding of accounting fundamentals (P&L, cost, revenue, margins)
• Ability to understand finance terminology and business context

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Willingness to learn and experiment with new tools
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Attention to detail and data accuracy

• Fresher or recent graduate
• Willingness to work in a professional corporate environment
