Role Description The Trainee Sales & Service Coordinator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The role involves supporting the coordination of marine service requests, assisting in scheduling and tracking service jobs, and maintaining accurate records of work orders and customer interactions. The trainee will help prepare quotations, follow up on offers, and support the sales team with documentation, reporting, and basic market research. Daily tasks include communicating with customers and internal technical teams, ensuring timely updates on service status, and assisting in managing logistics for engineers and equipment. The position also involves learning company products and services, supporting after-sales service activities, and contributing to a positive customer experience while gaining exposure to marine communication and navigation solutions.
Qualifications
  • Strong Service Coordination and Operations Management skills to assist with scheduling, tracking service activities, and maintaining organized documentation.
  • Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills to interact professionally with customers, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Customer Service mindset with the ability to respond promptly, follow up on issues, and support high-quality service delivery.
  • Basic understanding or interest in marine, engineering, or technical services; prior internship or exposure in a related field is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn internal CRM or service management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and learning.
  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in business, commerce, engineering, marine studies, or a related field preferred.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Chennai and collaborate with global teams across different time zones when required.
