Trainee Research Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated Trainee Research Associate to join our team as an intern. You will be responsible for the synthesis, purification, and characterization of chemical intermediates, contributing to drug discovery projects. This role requires a strong foundation in organic chemistry, practical laboratory experience, and a collaborative mindset to drive research forward in a dynamic environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Synthesize, purify, and characterize chemical intermediates.
• Deliver small to large quantities of novel chemical entities for drug discovery projects.
• Work collaboratively in a team to drive chemistry projects forward.
• Adapt to and maintain knowledge of laboratory safety practices.
• Work in a dynamic research environment with enthusiasm.

Skills Required:

• Excellent knowledge of basic organic chemistry, including reaction mechanisms, name reactions, and functional group transformations.
• Good knowledge of molarity, normality, and equivalency.
• Practical experience in thin-layer chromatography, column purification, and extraction.
• Good understanding of analytical techniques such as NMR, IR, and mass spectrometry.
• Strong soft and scientific communication skills.

QUALIFICATION:

• M.Sc. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a related field; or M. Pharma (Specialized in Organic Synthesis).
