MEDICAL REPRESENTATIVE (MR)
The MR will report to the Regional Manager.
The MR Will Function
- With independent charge of his territory
- As an associate with his colleagues—PSOs, MRs & BMs
The MRs Job Functions Are
- To be responsible for achieving territory-wise sales targets.
- To prepare his territory-wise annual sales budget together with the Regional Manager as per the objectives and guidelines.
- Implement Company's promotional plans/strategies and utilize the promotional inputs as per the Company's guidelines.
- In consultation with his RM, arrive at specific product promotion for priority products and improve business.
- To do personal product promotion to the selected doctors (minimum 300), so as to generate and increase prescription demand and to procure orders.
- To build rapport with retail chemists (minimum 100) and stockists to increase operational efficiency in the distribution and sales of the Company's products.
- To prepare customer coverage list and update it meaningfully from time to time in consensus with the RM.
- To maintain appropriate frequency with all classes of customers, doctors, hospitals, institutions and trade:
- To serve the customers needs
- To build personal & professional rapport
- To promote Company's products according to current strategies
- To exploit potential business
- To enhance Company's image.
- To be a vital member of the Pharma Marketing intelligence system by:
- Providing information on changing trends in customer needs
- Providing feedback on the effectiveness of our product promotional strategies
- Reporting competitors activities.
- Highlighting general market trends for future potential.
- To participate in pre-launch and other market surveys and submit information.
- To launch new products as per Company's guidelines and strategies.
- To conduct medical camps/seminars/conferences and doctor meetings for:
- Strengthening customer contacts
- Generating goodwill
- Increasing Company's business
- Enhancing MRs personal & professional rapport.
- Enhancing Company's image.
- To participate and follow-up in seeding trials as and when required.
- To assess the potential of the institutions in his territory and recommend to
RM/quote the appropriate rates as per Company's guidelines and then liaise with the ordering authority for the procurement of orders.
- To follow-up orders and ensure prompt collection of drafts in his territory according to Company's guidelines.
- To settle claims of stockists and retailers for breakage, expiry, spoilage after
due verification and ensure destruction of such goods.
- To participate in various projects as and when they come up.
- To review his performance periodically as per guidelines
- To submit all reports, records, returns as required.
