About The Role

The objective of the role is to support Front Office & Client Support covering AU & NZ region in execution of daily business activities for Markets Business.

Candidate is responsible to perform Lifecycle Event management for all products handled by Front Office & Client support (FOS, Funding) as well as playing a proactive role in identifying and Supporting process improvements to reduce operational risk, FTE savings and cost savings for the business.

This role works closely with various stakeholders including Sales and Structuring, Trading, Markets Operations, Product Control, Market Risk and project management teams.

What will your day look like

As a Trade Processing Senior Officer, you will:

  • Bring experience in financial services with extensive middleoffice exposure.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the Front Office and Client Support for all issues across asset classes and products.
  • Liaise with and follow up on issues with Operations, Product Control, and Business Practices, and investigate booking, settlement, and matching issues.
  • Manage the trade lifecycle, including cancels, amends, reissues, expiries, exercises, and allocations across products.
  • Support the funding requirements for the Markets business and ensure all required actions are completed within currency cutoff times.
  • Perform analysis on recurring exceptions to build and suggest STP capabilities.
  • Identify and support the implementation of improvements to existing processes that minimize operational risk and enhance the business's client service offering.
  • Coordinate UAT and implementation activities for frontoffice system migrations and developments.
  • Ensure all data collected is accurate and compliant with ANZ policies and jurisdictional regulations.
  • Ensure all services delivered comply with ANZ Group governance requirements, policies, processes, and standards, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.

What will you bring


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Should have sound knowledge of FICC and Derivative products, supported by Front Office functions such as trade booking/amendments and data flows.
  • Strong understanding of the funding requirements of the Markets business.
  • Ability to detect anomalies and errors, and investigate and document the associated root causes.
  • Ability to identify and deliver potential process improvements.Able to foster strong relationshipbuilding and effective communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of fronttoback trade flows, Operational Risk Management principles, reconciliations, and controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
