Role Descriptions: having QA experience in banking| with at least 3 years dedicated to Trade Finance systems

A. Test Leadership & Management

1. Own and maintain the overall test strategy and master test plan for the Trade Finance Digitalization programme, including scope, test approach, estimation, entry/exit criteria, and resource planning.

2. Independently lead and coordinate the day-to-day testing effort across functional, integration, regression, and UAT phases – assigning work to testers, tracking progress against plan, and removing blockers to keep cycles on schedule.

3. Manage test cycle governance, including test environment readiness, test data provisioning, and entry/exit gate approvals for each phase.

4. Own defect governance – chair defect triage, prioritise and assign defects, drive root-cause resolution with development and vendor teams, and monitor defect ageing and severity trends.

5. Act as the quality Subject Matter Expert and single point of accountability for testing, providing data-driven go/no-go and risk-based release recommendations to project and business stakeholders.

6. Mentor and guide junior Test Engineers, review their test artefacts, and uphold testing standards and best practices across the team.

B. Test Planning & Design for Trade Finance Portal

1. Analyse business requirements and FSDs for the Trade Finance Front-End Portal, covering customer onboarding, transaction initiation, and document management.

2. Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases tailored to Trade and Working Capital products (LCs, Guarantees, Bills, Trade Loans, Murabaha Financing).

3. Design end-to-end integration test scenarios spanning the client web/mobile portal, Newgen Workflow/BPM layer, and T24 Core Banking system.

4. Define acceptance criteria for maker-checker controls, transaction routing, and SLA/TAT tracking mechanisms within the workflow.

C. Test Execution & Defect Management

1. Execute functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing for all Trade Finance portal modules, including template cloning, document uploads, and transaction status inquiries.

2. Validate Straight-Through Processing (STP) to ensure seamless data exchange and auto-population between the portal, middleware, and backend systems without manual re-keying.

3. Identify, document, and track defects using designated test management tools (e.g., JIRA), performing root cause analysis on integration failures.

4. Conduct rigorous testing of SWIFT message formatting ensuring field validations in the portal are in sync with the latest SWIFT standards and ICC guidelines.

D. Security, Compliance & Non-Functional Validation

1. Validate Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC) and user authorization matrices for both external clients and internal EDB operations teams.

2. Ensure compliance checks are triggered correctly, including KYC, AML, and sanctions screening integrations (e.g., FCM).

3. Verify audit trails and activity logs for all user actions, transaction lifecycle events, and dual-authorization processes (Password + OTP validation).

4. Support non-functional testing coordination for system performance, batch processing (EOD reconciliation), and data encryption (in transit and at rest).

E. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

1. Validate MIS and reporting dashboards generated by the portal, ensuring accurate representation of YOY/MOM trends, limit utilizations, and outstanding balances in AED equivalent.

2. Collaborate with Test Automation Engineers to identify and automate repetitive, high-volume Trade Finance test scenarios.

3. Produce and present consolidated test status, coverage, defect, and quality dashboards to the Test Manager, project stakeholders, and steering forums on an agreed cadence, and escalate critical risks and blockers affecting delivery timelines.
