Job Title-Trade Finance & Lending Operations – COO Business Manager, VP

Location- Bangalore, India

Role Description

  • Trade Finance & Lending Operations supports the Corporate Bank, Investment Bank and
  • Private Bank across different businesses globally for centralized Servicing, Documentation and Trading activities, including traditional instruments such as letters of credit, collections and guarantees. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements & controls, seamless customer delivery & partner with business in achieving their objectives.
  • This position is within Deutsche Bank's Trade Finance & Lending Operations COO team.
  • The scope of activities will typically be diverse and include strategic business planning, financial control and reporting tasks, control function liaison, headcount management and compensation matters, IT and Ops service management and enhancement, aspects of Facilities Management to both accommodate current business need as well as to ensure future ability to conduct planned business activity. This team consolidates the results of this broad range of activities, whilst managing the ongoing relationships to collate and validate required output and synthesize the relevant business insights for senior management. The COO team also holds relationship with a broad range of internal points of contact from across the sub-unit for which they are responsible, the parent business division, other Deutsche Bank business divisions and control functions.

Your Key Responsibilities


  • You will work closely with the Product Head of TF&L Ops, various regional leads, business partners and broader COO team on various key projects. This includes projects related to Resource management, people strategy, operational efficiency & restructuring, vendor management and metrics reporting
  • You will collaborate with broader corporate functions across Deutsche Bank, including Finance, Legal, HR, Compliance and Operations to drive business effectiveness and process improvements
  • You will track and analyze business performance relative to financial plan and business scorecards; preparation of materials for monthly business reviews, and ad-hoc meetings
  • Executing and driving across a variety of tasks and deliverables including process improvements/ cost management, strategic deliverables, presentations, regulatory inspections with a reasonable degree of autonomy
  • Implement timely cost, risk, performance, and capacity reviews at regional, inter and cross product level
  • Management and tracking of the Target Operating Model (TOM) and other strategic efficiencies, ensuring accurate and timely benefit realization
  • Support cross-product engagement within CB and Branch Operations via COO network and/or sharing of ideas and best practices
  • Drive projects to support cost reduction targets, ensuring timely project delivery and effective stakeholder management.

Your Skills And Experience


  • A degree concentration in Business, Economics or Computer Science (or equivalent Business Analysis certification and/or relevant work experience)
  • Previous relevant experience in COO, Finance or Procurement processes (knowledge of the respective bank systems advantageous)
  • You have strong organization and project management skills to be able to manage a project independently with diligent follow-up in a fast-paced environment
  • You are highly motivated and have creative problem-solving abilities; excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with senior management, business partners, and control functions as well as external service providers within a global network
  • Excellent Analytical capabilities and ability to transfer results into management reporting
  • Excellent Microsoft Office capabilities (particularly Excel & PowerPoint)
  • A team player mindset, with a proven ability to multitask, prioritize and manage conflicts
