The Trade Execution Executive will be responsible for managing post-trade activities for agri-commodity shipments originating from Africa, ensuring seamless coordination between suppliers, logistics providers, inspection agencies, and internal teams from contract execution to final shipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute sales and purchase contracts for agri-commodities (Soybean, Sesame, Pulses, Oilseeds, etc.).
- Coordinate with origin suppliers and aggregators for cargo readiness and dispatch planning.
- Manage shipment execution from Africa ports including stuffing, documentation, and vessel coordination.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, and warehouses.
- Coordinate with surveyors and inspection agencies for quality, weight, and packing checks.
- Ensure timely preparation and accuracy of trade documents:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Bill of Lading
- COO, Phytosanitary Certificate, SGS / Intertek reports
- Monitor shipment timelines, vessel schedules, and handle execution-related deviations.
- Coordinate with destination teams for smooth clearance and delivery support.
- Maintain execution trackers, shipment MIS, and daily status reports.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms, Incoterms, and regulatory requirements.
Key Skills & Experience
- 25 years of experience in trade execution / operations for agri-commodities.
- Strong exposure to Africa-origin shipments is Preferable.
- Sound knowledge of Incoterms, shipping documentation, and export procedures.
- Experience dealing with Africa ports, suppliers, and inspection agencies.
- Strong coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel and execution tracking.
- Ability to work under tight timelines and handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
