About the Role

The Trade Desk Officer is responsible for processing trade transactions for assigned branches under the HUB and spoke model. Th role involves close coordination with spoke branches, the Trade Central Processing Unit (CPU), product teams, and compliance units to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant execution of trade transactions. The incumbent will play a key role in enhancing customer satisfaction through superior service delivery and operational efficiency

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Minim trade transaction rejections through accurate documentation and processing.
  • queries and rejections raised by the Trade CPU and assist spoke branches in managing trade transactions.
  • Ensure adherence to defined turnaround times (TAT) for all trade products.
  • Provide superior customer service to reduce or eliminate complaints.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with RBI guidelines, FEMA regulations, and internal bank policies.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Liaise with other departments for smooth transaction handling and resolution.
  • Manage transaction follow-ups and maintain accurate records.
  • Follow up with customers, Relationship Managers (RMs), and Trade Counsellors (TCs) for closure of outstanding EDPMS and IDPMS entries.
  • Engage regularly with stakeholders to implement new products, policies, and guidelines.
  • Handle back-office activities efficiently and assist in regulatory checks as required.
  • Support the monitoring team in client follow-ups for compliance and documentation.

What We Are Looking For

Education

  • Graduate in any discipline (Full Time)

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Trade Finance is essential.
  • Overall experience should be between 5 to 7 years in banking or financial services.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong knowledge of trade finance operations and documentation.
  • Familiarity with RBI, FEMA, and UCPDC regulations.
  • Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
  • Fluent in English with effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Customer-centric approach with a focus on service excellence.
