This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for local import & export operations. Each day, you will supervise performance of customs brokers. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring smooth execution of operational trade and customs activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations.
The work model for this role:
This role is contributing to the Trade & Transportation in Bangalore. Main stakeholders are logistics providers and freight forwarders, customs authorities, Operations Team, customs clearing agents.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Acting as point of contact for customs brokers in case of clarification needs (e.g., regarding valuation or classification of products).
- Auditing customs brokers regarding the correctness of customs entries, invoicing, and archiving.
- Managing the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all import/export activities.
- Maintaining and sharing with colleagues, as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/export laws and procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions.
Qualifications for the role:
- Highly skilled in international trade, transportation coordination, and customs compliance, with experience using SAP MM, ICE gate in the supply chain industry.
- 8-10 years of experience in customs Import (mandatory) & Exports.
- Strong knowledge of Data Analysis , MS office, imports (mandatory) & exports, Taxation, SAP MM, ICE gate.
- Bachelor's degree in B.Com/M.Com/B.E, MBA in logistics & Supply chain (Preferred), EXIM certification- preferred.
- Fluent in English with required work authorization.
