Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze requirements and prepare high-level and low-level designs.
  • Develop and optimize COBOL programs for batch and online systems.
  • Write and maintain JCL jobs, utilities, and scheduling dependencies.
  • Design and manage DB2 schemas, SQL queries, and performance tuning.
  • Create and maintain VSAM datasets and IDCAMS scripts.
  • Configure and enhance CICS transactions, COMMAREA, and BMS maps.
  • Perform unit, integration, and system testing; debug using Abend-AID/Xpediter.
  • Manage code promotion through Endevor/Changeman and ensure compliance.
  • Support production systems, troubleshoot abends, and optimize batch windows.
  • Mentor junior developers and enforce coding standards.
