We are looking for a creative and experienced Toy Design Lead to lead the design and development of innovative educational and STEM-based toys for children. The ideal candidate will have experience in product design, toy development, prototyping, and manufacturing, with a strong understanding of child-centric design principles.
This role requires someone who can transform ideas into engaging, safe, and market-ready products while managing the complete product development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:- Lead the conceptualization and design of educational, STEM, DIY, science, and activity-based toys.
- Create sketches, CAD models, prototypes, and product specifications.
- Research toy market trends, customer preferences, and competitor products.
- Work closely with product, content, and manufacturing teams to develop innovative products.
- Conduct prototype testing and incorporate feedback into product improvements.
- Ensure products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers during product development and production.
- Manage multiple product development projects and timelines simultaneously.
- Mentor and guide junior designers and product development team members.
Requirements:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Toy Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in toy design, product design, educational products, or consumer products.
- Strong portfolio showcasing product or toy design projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, Creo, or similar tools.
- Experience with prototyping, 3D printing, and product testing.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production techniques.
- Strong problem-solving, creativity, and project management skills.
