Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Tower Leader - Record to Report (RTR) to lead and manage end-to-end RTR operations for a large-scale finance shared services environment. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for service delivery excellence, stakeholder management, process governance, continuous improvement, team leadership, and operational transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Tower Ownership & Strategic Leadership

  • Own the end-to-end RTR service tower and ensure operational excellence.
  • Define and execute the tower strategy, roadmap, and transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure delivery performance, process stability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive operational governance and continuous service improvements.

Service Delivery Management

  • Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery aligned with agreed SLAs and KPIs.
  • Monitor and improve:
  • Service performance
  • Process effectiveness
  • Compliance adherence
  • Customer experience
  • Drive timely issue resolution and service recovery plans.

RTR Operations Management

Provide leadership and oversight across key RTR functions including:

  • Journal Entries and General Ledger Accounting
  • Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End Close
  • Financial Reporting
  • Fixed Asset Accounting
  • Lease Accounting
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Cash Reconciliations
  • Compliance and Controls
  • Audit Support
  • Reporting and Analytics

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers and senior stakeholders.
  • Conduct governance meetings, business reviews, and operational reviews.
  • Present performance reports, dashboards, and improvement initiatives.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communication effectively.

Continuous Improvement & Transformation

  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives and automation programs.
  • Lead productivity improvement and cost optimization projects.
  • Promote adoption of digital tools and best practices.

Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain audit readiness and governance documentation.
  • Identify operational risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Escalate critical risks and issues appropriately.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Manage tower budgets, capacity planning, and resource utilization.
  • Drive cost efficiencies while maintaining service quality.
  • Ensure optimal workforce productivity and utilization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with other Tower Leaders and business functions.
  • Ensure seamless integration across finance processes.
  • Resolve cross-functional dependencies and operational challenges.

Experience Requirements

  • 10–15 years of experience in Record to Report (RTR) operations.
  • Minimum 7+ years of leadership experience managing large teams.
  • Proven experience in:

  • Operational Excellence Programs
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives
  • Experience working in a BPO, Shared Services, or Global Business Services environment is highly preferred.
