Job Description

AMK Group is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Tools Admin & Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role requires extensive experience in the administration, configuration, and support of a wide array of IT Operations Management (ITOM) tools, with a strong emphasis on the Micro Focus suite. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, availability, and integration of these critical tools, providing L1, L2, and L3 support, and contributing to the overall stability of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • 24/7 Operations: Be available to work in a 24/7 shift rotation to ensure continuous tool support and monitoring.
  • ITIL Adherence: Possess a basic understanding of ITIL processes to contribute to efficient service management.
  • Tool Administration & Support (L1, L2, L3):Micro Focus Suite Management: Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain various Micro Focus tools including:
  • NNMi (Network Node Manager i): Installation, configuration (ISP, QA, Traffic, MPLS), report configuration in NPS, creating topology maps, configuring metrics for node monitoring, understanding L2/L3 network devices, configuring QA probes, and monitoring traffic.
  • OBM (Operations Bridge Manager) / OBR (Operations Bridge Reporter): Installation, configuration, troubleshooting OA agents, creating/configuring policies for server/application availability, installing/configuring Management Packs (Infra, DBSPI, Middleware), creating dashboards, configuring event correlation rules, configuration, and reporting (OBR).
  • UCMDB (Universal CMDB): Installation, configuration (discovery, mapping), report configuration, and integration with other MF tools.
  • Asset Manager (AM): Installation, configuration, managing inventory, contracts, SLA reports, and integration with MF tools and third-party systems. Thorough understanding of Portfolio, Contract, Software Assets, Financial Management modules, and Customized Reports. Implementation/Customization experience of Asset Manager and Crystal Reports.
  • DCA (Data Center Automation) / SA (Server Automation): Installation, configuration, integration, troubleshooting SA Agents, creating patch policies (Windows/Linux), audit jobs, and remediation.
  • OO (Operations Orchestrator): Deployment/configuration, and basic understanding of automations.
  • APM (Application Performance Management) / BVD (Business Value Dashboard): Installation, configuration, creating BPM scripts, monitoring traffic (RUM/Diagnostics), configuring monitoring dashboards for end-users.
  • Sitescope: Installation, configuration (Solution Templates, URL/Port/Servers Up/Down, VMware configurations).
  • SMAX (Service Management Automation X): Deployment, writing business rules, and configuration.
  • Integration: Implement and maintain integrations between various MF tools (e.g., NNMi-OBM, OBM-SMAX, NNMi-UCMDB) and external systems (Billing, ERP, Flat Files, LDAP, Microfocus uCMDB for Asset Manager).
  • Database Management: Possess strong technical knowledge of Database concepts, particularly Postgres Database skillset (value added), and AM Workflows.
  • Automation: Basic understanding and contribution to automation initiatives using tools like OO.
  • Patching & Compliance: Manage MF tools patch updates and ensure compliance.
  • Problem Solving: Debug and troubleshoot complex issues related to tool functionality, performance, and integrations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for tool configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Exhibit strong communication skills (written and verbal) and customer interaction abilities (Mandate).
  • Collaborate effectively with various teams (application, server, network, development) and external stakeholders.
  • Continuous Learning: Be willing to learn other tools and support new technologies as required.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience:Minimum 5-7 years of overall IT experience in tools administration/support.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of dedicated hands-on experience in deployment/configuration/support of at least 3-4 major Micro Focus ITOM tools from the list (e.g., NNMi, OBM, UCMDB, Asset Manager, Sitescope, DCA, SA, OO, APM, SMAX, OBR).
  • Specifically, 5-6 years for SMAX (deployment/business rules/configuration) and 3-5 years for NNMi, OBM, OBR, UCMDB, Asset Manager, Sitescope, DCA, SA, APM, BVD.
  • 3-4 years experience in OO deployment/configuration.
  • Tool-Specific Knowledge (Hands-on experience required for multiple as per above): NNMi, OBM, OBR, UCMDB, Asset Manager, Sitescope, DCA, Server Automation, Operations Orchestrator, APM, BVD, SMAX.
  • Database: Strong technical knowledge of Database concepts; Postgres Database skillset is a plus.
  • Core Concepts: Thorough understanding of Portfolio, Contract, Software Assets, Financial Management modules, and Customized Reports in Asset Manager. Understanding of AM Workflows.
  • Integration: Proven experience integrating Asset Manager with Billing, ERP Systems, Flat Files, LDAP, and Microfocus uCMDB. Experience with integrations between MF tools (e.g., NNMi-OBM, OBM-Smax, NNMi-Ucmdb).
  • ITIL: Basic knowledge of ITIL processes.
  • Communication: Good communication and customer interaction skills are mandatory.
  • Availability: Ready to work in 24/7 shifts.
