Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and delivering significant components of engineering solutions to accomplish business goals efficiently and reliably. Key responsibilities of this role include active participation in the design of their solution components, investigating re-use, ensuring that solutions are fit for purpose, reliable, maintainable, and can be integrated successfully into the overall solution and environment with clear, robust and well tested deployments. The SRE will be responsible for:
- Apply technical solutions to improve the stability of production environments.
- Resolving events and complex issues with an awareness of overlapping and different technology areas.
- Takes overall responsibility for the resolution of incidents and problems within the team. Oversees the resolution of complex incidents. Ensure that Analysts apply the right problem-solving techniques and processes.
- Partnering with product development to ensure that the business needs for each targeted segment are incorporated into product design and branding approaches .
- Identifying where IT designs can be strengthened and provide value to the bank.
- Providing technical delivery governance on all related IT platforms and delivering technical expertise for support in outage co-ordination.
- Embracing a Continuous Service Improvement approach to drive efficiencies and remove repetition to stream-line support activities.
- Level 3 or Advanced support for technical infrastructure components.
- Performing disaster recovery testing on a periodic basis in line with agreed service levels

- Demonstrable experience in playing leading role in a global level 3 SRE, Production Support, Automation and working within an ITIL framework.
- Experience of supporting complex application and infrastructure domains
- Experience with scripting languages such as: Powershell, Python, MSPL Scripting, Java, etc
- Working knowledge of standard tools (Service-Now, Confluence, JIRA)
- Comfortable working in a team with a diverse skill set, location and culture across different countries.
- Must be adaptable and quickly understand the new technologies / emerging markets.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen, understand and present clear solutions to problems.
- Proven track record in problem solving, within a medium to large enterprise environment.
- The candidate will operate within a team for supporting the Global On-Call rota, facilitate weekend changes, and remote support where required.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in IT or Computer Science related discipline (equivalent diploma or technical faculty)
- Preferably hold SRE and ITIL Certification
- Minimum of 10 years experience as an Engineer specializing in SRE, Production Support, ITIL, Cloud Technology,monitoring and automation. Financial services sector experience beneficial.
