Description
We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tool making, with hands-on experience in designing and fabricating precision tools. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to produce high-quality tools and components.
Responsibilities
- Design and fabricate precision tools, jigs, fixtures, and dies according to specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to create and modify tooling.
- Operate various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce tool components.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve tool design and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain accurate records of tool production and modifications for quality assurance.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards in all tool-making activities.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in tool making or a related field.
- Proficiency in operating CNC machines and traditional machining equipment.
- Strong understanding of materials and their properties, especially metals and plastics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with CAD software for tool design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
