Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Tool and Die Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, testing, and repairing pre-fabricated parts to form complete systems. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work from engineering drawings and schematics.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assembly and Installation: Assemble, fit, and install pre-fabricated parts and sub-assemblies to create completed systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
  • Testing and Maintenance: Conduct product and performance testing and document the results. You will also perform installation, repair, inspection, reassembly, and refitting procedures as needed.
  • Troubleshooting: Assist in troubleshooting issues related to the fit, form, and function of products.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with and train customers on product assembly.
  • Collaboration: Cross-train in other areas of the business as required and work with a team to achieve business goals.

Skills Required

Education:Tool and Die Maker, NTTF (Nettur Technical Training Foundation), ITI (Industrial Training Institute) Fitter, or an equivalent qualification. A High School Diploma or equivalent is also required.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and/or engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in using basic hand tools, cranes, and forklifts.
  • The ability to use, replace, and maintain basic tooling.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to assist in troubleshooting.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
  • Demonstrated commitment and flexibility to achieve team/business goals.
  • A strong team player with the ability to recognize upcoming challenges and plan accordingly.
  • Physical Requirements: The ability to lift 35 pounds.
  • Availability: The ability to work a variety of shifts. Minimal travel may be required.
