Job Description: Specialist/Sr. Systems Analyst (TMS)
We are seeking an experienced
TMS Analyst with strong knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and related logistics processes. The Senior System Analyst TMS is responsible for analyzing, designing, and supporting Transportation Management and Logistics systems to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective transportation operations. This role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders, logistics operations, and technical teams, translating business requirements into system solutions and ensuring stable production support.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Experience:
- 5+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years in SCM domain/ Logistics TMS/WMS implementation/support as IT Business Analyst.
RequiredSkills :
- As an IT Business Analyst, hands-on experience in gathering requirements, building functional and technical design. Prepare BRDs, CRDs, user stories, process flows, and impact analysis documents.
- SQL Basic Query writing skill
Good to have skills:
- Experience with any SCM ERP or Logistics TMS or WMS platforms
- Strong understanding of integration touchpoints across ERP, WMS, and TMS systems.
- Experience in TMS platforms (Descartes TMS, Oracle OTM)
Key Responsibilities
Business & Functional Analysis:
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate those into functional and technical system requirements. Prepare detailed BRDs, CRDs, user stories, process flows, and impact analysis documents.
TMS Application Support & Enhancement:
- Manage configuration changes, enhancements, and coordinate fixes within TMS platforms (Descartes TMS, Oracle OTM).
- Provide production support for TMS applications (mentioned above) with minimal downtime.
- Analyze incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate fixes with internal teams and vendors.
Integration & Technical Coordination:
- Work closely with IT, middleware, and external vendors to support TMS integrations with WMS, ERP (SAP), EDI, APIs, and carrier systems (Fedex, UPS, GLS, etc)
- Participate in system upgrades, patches, and new feature rollouts.
Testing & Release Management:
- Create and execute UAT test scenarios and validate business outcomes.
- Support regression testing during releases and upgrades.
- Coordinate production deployments and post-deployment validations.
Stakeholder & Project Support:
- Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies including backlog grooming and sprint planning.
- Provide user training, documentation, and post-implementation support.
