Mechanical Team Member is responsible for carrying out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities on plant machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure equipment availability, safety, and operational efficiency. The incumbent works closely with production, maintenance, contractors, and cross-functional teams to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with safety and statutory requirements.
- Responsible for mechanical maintenance activities during shift operations.
- Attend and troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted production
- Perform maintenance and repair activities on pumps, hydraulics, pneumatic cylinders and other mechanical components – Bearings, manifolds, valves
- Prepare and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Ensure adherence to preventive and predictive maintenance plans and monitor their effectiveness
- Drive continuous improvement projects using the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodology
- Lead and promote 5S implementation initiatives across the plant to maintain workplace organization and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and actively drive safety improvement initiatives
- Identify and implement opportunities for equipment optimization, energy savings, and process improvements
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to achieve operational and maintenance objectives
