About the jobWe're looking for a graphic designer who understands one simple truth: if the thumbnail fails, nothing else matters. This role is responsible for creating high-performing YouTube thumbnails, cover images, and visual frames that enhance storytelling and improve click-through rates. You'll work closely with video editors and content producers to ensure every video looks irresistible before it's even played.
Key Responsibilities
- Design scroll-stopping YouTube thumbnails that drive high CTR
- Create cover images and channel visuals aligned with brand identity
- Develop frame designs and graphic overlays for videos (text frames, visual hooks, transitions, etc.)
- Collaborate with video editors to ensure visuals integrate seamlessly into final edits
- Translate content ideas into clear, compelling visual concepts
- Maintain consistency in visual language across all YouTube content
- Continuously experiment with styles, formats, and trends to improve performance
- Optimize designs based on analytics and audience behavior
What we're looking for
- Strong portfolio showcasing YouTube thumbnails or high-engagement social creatives
- Ability to balance aesthetic design + performance thinking (pretty is useless if it doesn't get clicks)
- Proficiency in tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects (basic motion understanding is a plus)
- Utilize AI tools in the workflow to speed up the process of Visual Generations
- Good understanding of typography, composition, color psychology, and visual hierarchy
- Awareness of YouTube trends, creator styles, and viral formats
- Ability to work fast and iterate based on feedback (because thumbnails are not sacred art pieces)
