Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities – THT Process Engineer

Develop and establish THT assembly processes (manual & wave soldering)
Define SOPs, work instructions, and process flow
Set and optimize wave soldering parameters (temperature, speed, flux)
Monitor soldering quality and control defects (cold joints, bridging, etc.)
Perform defect analysis using 5 Why and implement corrective actions
Improve yield, efficiency, and reduce cycle time
Ensure compliance with IPC standards and quality requirements
Provide real-time support to production and troubleshoot issues
Train operators on soldering techniques, safety, and standards
Maintain process documentation (PFMEA, control plans, reports)
Coordinate with maintenance team for machine upkeep and preventive maintenance
Manage and validate tooling, fixtures, and solder pallets for production efficiency
