Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient iOS Automation Tester with a minimum of 5+ years of experience to join our remote contract team (6 months, extendable).
This role demands mandatory hands-on expertise in Appium for iOS application testing and strong Java coding skills for developing robust automation frameworks.
IOS Automation Development
Experience in the OTT (Over-The-Top) media domain is a significant plus, as is knowledge of APM tools and proxy Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive automation test scripts specifically for iOS applications using Appium.
- Utilize hands-on coding skills in JAVA to build, maintain, and enhance scalable and stable automation frameworks.
- Ensure high test coverage and reliability for all functional and regression test suites across various iOS devices and operating
System And Debugging
- Apply good technical knowledge of API testing concepts and tools to validate backend integrations of the mobile application.
- Use tools like Charles Proxy to capture, analyze, and debug network traffic between the iOS app and backend services.
- Work closely with developers and QA teams in an agile environment to troubleshoot failures and perform root cause and Domain Knowledge :
- Gain and apply knowledge of OTT (Over-The-Top) domain specifics (e.g., streaming protocols, content delivery) to design domain-relevant tests.
- Work with APM (Application Performance Monitoring) concepts or tools to ensure application performance meets standards.
- Maintain and report on test execution status, defects, and automation coverage :
- Experience : Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in software testing and iOS Automation (Mandatory) : Mandatory hands-on experience in iOS automation testing using Coding : Strong hands-on coding skills in JAVA are Technical Skills : Good working knowledge of API testing Skills :
- Experience in the OTT domain (video streaming, media applications).
- Experience with Charles Proxy (or Fiddler/Burp) for mobile network debugging.
- Familiarity with APM (Application Performance Monitoring) tools and concepts.
