Our client is a global engineering and technology organization developing advanced equipment and systems for highly demanding industrial applications. The India engineering team works on complex, high-temperature systems where thermal performance, material selection, reliability and precision design are critical.

Job Description

  • Lead the concept design and development of components and subsystems operating at temperatures above 650°C.
  • Apply thermal engineering and material science fundamentals to resolve design issues, product failures and field problems.
  • Work closely with mechanical, electrical, controls, software, process and manufacturing teams to deliver design and development milestones.
  • Lead thermal system testing, troubleshooting, cycling and product performance, reliability and durability validation.
  • Drive laboratory development activities and translate engineering concepts into validated product solutions.
  • Identify innovative engineering solutions and contribute to patents, new technologies and project proposals.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will hold a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 10+ years of experience, or an M.Tech with 8+ years of experience. Candidates should have strong hands-on experience designing high-temperature components or assemblies, such as automotive engine/exhaust systems, boilers, industrial furnaces or similar applications, along with knowledge of high-temperature materials and coatings including ceramics and aluminium alloys. Experience working with electro-mechanical systems, sensors and controls, manufacturing processes and cross-functional engineering teams is essential. Exposure to semiconductor, medical, chemical or process industries, thermal/stress simulation using tools such as Abaqus or NASTRAN, and vacuum technology would be advantageous.
