Job Description

Blockchain Engineering Intern (Ethereum / Web3 Infrastructure)

Company: World Trade Factory (SKXYWTF)

Location: Remote / Hybrid

Type: This is an Unpaid Internship starting immediately

About the Role

World Trade Factory is building next-generation digital infrastructure at the intersection of blockchain, AI, and global markets. We are looking for a Blockchain Engineer to help design, build, and test smart-contract-based systems and supporting infrastructure in an educational, research-driven, and production-oriented environment.

This role focuses on engineering, security, and architecture — not hype or speculation.

What You'll Work On

  • Design and develop smart contracts on Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains
  • Implement and test ERC standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155 as needed)
  • Build token utility and staking logic (testnet-first, security-focused)
  • Integrate smart contracts with off-chain systems (APIs, indexers, dashboards)
  • Write automated tests and conduct basic security reviews
  • Support on-chain analytics, event indexing, and data pipelines
  • Document contract behavior, assumptions, and upgrade paths

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong proficiency in Solidity and EVM fundamentals
  • Solid understanding of Ethereum architecture, gas mechanics, and transactions
  • Experience with smart contract testing frameworks (Hardhat, Foundry, or Truffle)
  • Familiarity with web3 libraries (ethers.js, web3.js)
  • Knowledge of common smart contract vulnerabilities (reentrancy, overflow, access control)
  • Comfortable working with Git and code reviews

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Layer 2s (Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Polygon)
  • Familiarity with tokenomics modeling (emissions, incentives, staking design)
  • Exposure to on-chain analytics (The Graph, Dune, custom indexers)
  • Backend experience (Node.js, Python)
  • Prior security auditing or formal verification exposure

What We Care About

  • Engineering discipline over hype
  • Clear documentation and reproducibility
  • Security-first mindset
  • Ability to reason about incentives and edge cases
  • Comfort working in early-stage, research-heavy environments

For Students / Interns (OPT / CPT Eligible)

  • Project-based, academically aligned work
  • Testnet and simulation-focused development
  • No fundraising, token sales, or solicitation activities
  • Responsibilities aligned with computer science, engineering, or blockchain coursework

What We Offer

  • Work on real blockchain infrastructure — not demos
  • Mentorship and exposure to AI + macro research systems
  • Flexible work structure (remote-friendly)
  • Opportunity to grow into long-term or paid roles as we scale
