Job Description

Job Role: CBSE TGT Science

Core Purpose

To teach Science to middle school students (Classes VI–X) in alignment with CBSE curriculum, ensuring strong conceptual understanding, scientific thinking, and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology fundamentals) to Classes VI–X as per CBSE curriculum.
  • Plan and deliver structured lesson plans, experiments, worksheets, and assessments that promote conceptual clarity and application.
  • Conduct practical activities and demonstrations, ensuring safety and proper use of lab equipment.
  • Use interactive and activity-based teaching methods to enhance student engagement and curiosity.
  • Evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, and practical work; maintain accurate academic records.
  • Provide timely feedback to students and parents to support continuous improvement.
  • Identify learning gaps and offer remedial support where required.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and create a safe, inquiry-driven learning environment.
  • Prepare students for examinations, science exhibitions, and subject enrichment activities.
  • Participate in departmental planning, school events, training sessions, and academic discussions.

Qualification & Skills

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Science or a related discipline.
  • B.Ed. (mandatory as per CBSE norms).
  • Strong understanding of basic Physics, Chemistry, and Biology concepts.
  • Effective communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to simplify concepts and encourage scientific thinking.
  • Familiarity with CBSE curriculum, lab practices, and assessment methods.
  • Basic proficiency in digital teaching tools and smart classroom methods.
