We are looking for Librarian who is responsible for managing library operations, curating diverse physical and digital resources, and fostering a reading culture among students, typically requiring a Bachelor's/Master's in Library Science and 0-3+ years of experience.
Key roles include assisting with curriculum-aligned research, cataloging, managing circulation, and maintaining a disciplined, conducive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Library Management: Handling daily operations, including cataloging, inventory, and issuing/returning books using library software.
- Curriculum Support: Collaborating with teachers to align resources with CBSE curriculum needs.
- Information Literacy: Conducting workshops on research skills, information literacy, and digital citizenship for students.
- Reading Promotion: Organizing book fairs, storytelling sessions, and reading programs to encourage independent reading.
- Resource Development: Curating age-appropriate, diverse books and digital materials.
- Environment & Safety: Ensuring a safe, organized, and welcoming library space.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science or Information Science.
- Experience: 0 - 3+ years in a CBSE.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational skills, proficiency in library management software, and knowledge of digital resources.
- Language: Good proficiency in English is required.
