Job Description

Position: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – English or Science

Curriculum: CBSE

Location: Devanahalli, Bengaluru (Near Kempegowda International Airport)

Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site

Target Grades: Middle School (Grades 6–8)

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated, versatile educator to join our academic team as a TGT English or Science Teacher. The ideal candidate will foster language fluency, analytical thinking, and scientific inquiry in middle/secondary school students following the CBSE curriculum and NEP guidelines.

Given our location near Kempegowda International Airport (Devanahalli), candidates residing in North Bengaluru or along the airport corridor are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Delivery & Pedagogy

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lesson plans for English and General Science in alignment with CBSE curriculum norms.
  • Facilitate hands-on science experiments, lab demonstrations, and activity-based learning modules.
  • Strengthen students core English competencies: reading comprehension, creative writing, grammar, phonetics, and spoken communication.
  • Integrate cross-disciplinary approaches linking language development with scientific exploration.

Assessment & Classroom Management

  • Design formative and summative assessments, periodic tests, and project rubrics adhering to CBSE evaluation standards.
  • Track individual student progress, identify learning gaps, and conduct remedial/enrichment support sessions.
  • Maintain an orderly, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to active learning.

Co-Curricular & Administrative Duties

  • Organize science fairs, exhibitions, debates, elocution competitions, and literary clubs.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, academic grades, lesson logs, and lab equipment inventories.
  • Engage proactively with parents during PTMs (Parent-Teacher Meetings) to provide constructive feedback on student performance.
  • Participate in school events, annual functions, sports days, and CBSE professional development workshops.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science (B.Sc / M.Sc with Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Botany/Zoology) or English Literature (B.A / M.A English).
    • Double graduation or integrated degrees covering both domains will be given strong preference.
  • Mandatory Teaching Credential: B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) from an NCTE-recognized institution.
  • Eligibility Test: CTET (Paper II) or Karnataka TET qualification is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of regular classroom teaching experience in a reputed CBSE-affiliated school.
Competencies & Skills

  • Exceptional command of spoken and written English.
  • Strong conceptual clarity in General Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) up to Grade 8/10.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching tools, smartboards, Google Classroom/MS Teams, and digital pedagogy.
  • Strong classroom management, patience, and empathetic student-handling skills.
