About the Role

Gurukul The School is seeking a passionate, experienced, and academically driven TGT English Teacher for Classes VI–X. The ideal candidate should possess excellent command over English Language and Literature, strong classroom management skills, proven academic results, and the ability to prepare students effectively for secondary-level academic excellence, including Board examination readiness.

The candidate should be capable of creating engaging learning experiences, integrating technology into teaching-learning practices, building strong student relationships, and fostering a love for language, literature, communication, and critical thinking.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

Academic Excellence & Subject Delivery

• Deliver engaging and outcome-oriented English Language and Literature lessons for Classes VI–X.
• Develop students reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.
• Foster critical thinking, analytical ability, creativity, and effective communication.
• Design lesson plans aligned with CBSE curriculum, learning outcomes, and competency-based education practices.
• Support students in achieving strong academic outcomes and examination performance.

Board Examination Preparation

• Prepare students of Classes IX–X for CBSE Board examinations through effective planning, assessment, and academic interventions.
• Conduct result analysis and implement improvement strategies to enhance student performance.
• Develop examination-oriented competencies while ensuring conceptual understanding.

Classroom Management & Student Engagement

• Maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Build strong rapport and meaningful connections with students.
• Encourage active participation, collaboration, and confidence-building among learners.
• Support students with varied learning needs through differentiated instructional practices.

Technology Integration & Innovation

• Integrate smart classroom tools, digital resources, AI-enabled educational platforms, and interactive teaching methodologies.
• Utilize technology to improve student engagement, assessment, feedback, and learning outcomes.
• Maintain digital academic records and documentation efficiently.

Assessment & Academic Monitoring

• Design and administer formative and summative assessments.
• Monitor student progress through data-driven analysis and continuous feedback.
• Maintain accurate assessment records, reports, and academic documentation.

Parent & Stakeholder Communication

• Communicate student progress professionally and effectively with parents.
• Participate actively in PTMs, academic reviews, school events, and collaborative initiatives.
• Uphold institutional values, policies, and professional ethics.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong command over English Language and Literature.
• Proven ability to teach and engage students across Classes VI–X.
• Experience in preparing students for secondary-level and Board-oriented academic expectations.
• Strong classroom management and student engagement capabilities.
• Ability to build meaningful student relationships and mentor learners effectively.
• Hands-on experience with smart classroom tools, digital learning platforms, and AI-enabled educational technologies.
• Strong lesson planning, assessment, and academic documentation skills.
• Professional presentation and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Adaptability to modern pedagogical practices and technology-driven learning environments.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Graduate/Postgraduate in English with B.Ed.
• Minimum 0–3 years of teaching experience.
• Experience teaching Classes VI–X in a CBSE school.
• Exposure to Board classes and proven academic results preferred.
• Strong academic background throughout schooling and higher education.
• Familiarity with experiential learning, competency-based education, and NEP-aligned practices.
