Job Purpose
The TGT – English Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language and literature education up to Class X, fostering communication skills, creativity, and critical thinking while aligning with the principles of Integral Education as envisioned by Sri Aurobindo.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Responsibilities
- Teach English Language and Literature as per CBSE curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans focusing on grammar, writing, reading, and speaking skills.
- Ensure clarity of concepts and encourage analytical and creative expression.
- Use interactive and student-centric teaching methodologies.
Curriculum & Assessment
- Prepare and implement assessments aligned with CBSE patterns.
- Design question papers, worksheets, and assignments.
- Evaluate answer scripts and provide constructive feedback.
- Track student performance and provide remedial support where needed.
Student Development
- Enhance students communication, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.
- Encourage participation in debates, elocution, creative writing, and literary activities.
- Support overall personality development and confidence building.
Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment.
- Foster inclusive and engaging classroom practices.
Administrative & Coordination
- Maintain student records, lesson plans, and academic documentation.
- Participate in staff meetings, school events, and training sessions.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.
Integral Education Alignment
- Incorporate values of ethics, empathy, and holistic development.
- Encourage expression that nurtures emotional, intellectual, and creative growth.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in English
- B.Ed. (Mandatory)
Experience:
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school
