Roots Foundation was established in 2012 with the vision of designing & operationalising bottom-up interventions to enhance the livelihoods of the most underprivileged. The Foundation's core work is with the agriculture communities in villages spanning 15+ Indian states. Roots holistic development programs are focused on agriculture, education, skilling, healthcare, nutrition and sports, and have till date positively impacted the lives of 10,00,000+ farmers, 5,000+ children and 12,000 women.
Terms: Graduation project (5+ months, starting January 2025)
Stipend: Up to ₹15,000/month
This internship is part of Project Unnati, which aims to provide specialized training in hand embroidery and product development, empowering marginalized youth and women to enhance their employability, income, and livelihoods.
Responsibilities Include
- Assisting trainers in teaching hand embroidery techniques to participants.
- Collaborating on designing and developing a collection of handmade products.
- Offering technical and creative input during training sessions.
- Ensuring quality and precision in embroidery work.
- Documenting processes and outcomes for reference.
- Craft compelling articles, reports, and documentation that highlight the impact, stories, and insights from our initiatives
