Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Technical Designer to support the end-to-end product development lifecycle for Bedding and Beach products. This role will act as a critical bridge between Design, Product Development, and Manufacturing teams, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely execution of all technical deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain spec sheets and tech packs with complete details on construction, measurements, materials, and finishing.
- Ensure high accuracy in technical documentation to minimize errors, revisions, and development delays.
- Develop, update, and audit Bills of Materials (BOMs) in PLM systems within defined timelines.
- Act as a quality checkpoint for all design deliverables, reviewing specs, layouts, and construction details for accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with Design, Product Development, Merchandising, and Production teams to ensure alignment from concept through production.
- Review vendor submissions, samples, and counter samples to ensure adherence to specifications, fit, and quality standards.
- Maintain consistency in size specs, grading, construction, and product standards across categories.
- Track and troubleshoot quality and construction issues, maintaining logs and sharing insights for improvement.
- Manage color approvals, including lab dips and strike-offs, ensuring accuracy against design intent.
- Organize and maintain digital libraries of CADs and technical files with proper naming and tagging conventions.
- Manage timelines and deliverables using tools such as PLM and project management systems (e.g., BeProduct and Monday.com).
- Contribute to process improvements, enhancing workflow efficiency and reducing dependency on external resources.
