Role Overview
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Textile Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who can translate ideas into distinctive textile concepts, blending modern aesthetics with rural craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop original textile designs for rugs and related product lines
- Research trends, materials, color palettes, and techniques aligned with our brand
- Collaborate with artisans and production teams to ensure design feasibility and quality
- Create mood boards, hand sketches, and digital renderings
- Experiment with textures, patterns, and weaving techniques
- Maintain consistency with Rural Routes design language and premium positioning
Tools & Skills
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Experience with Procreate for concept development and sketching
- Working knowledge of CAD software for technical drawings and product development
- Understanding of textile construction, materials, and production processes
- Strong sense of color, composition, and detail
