Role Description

This is a full-time, remote role for a Textile Designer. The Textile Designer will be responsible for developing unique textile prints, creating embroidery designs, and crafting graphics suitable for the company's product lines. Daily tasks will include collaboration with artisans, ensuring that designs align with the company's traditional yet contemporary aesthetic, and preparing design concepts for rugs and furniture textiles. The role involves translating creative insights into tangible designs while supporting Rural Routes commitment to sustainability and community empowerment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and expertise in Embroidery and Textile Prints
• Familiarity with designing Graphics and working with Textiles
• Experience with Graphic Design tools and software
• Strong creative and artistic skills, with attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate with artisans and manage remote design processes
• A Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field is preferred
• Experience in working with traditional craftsmanship or handmade products is a plus
