Textile Designer

This is an on-site, full-time role for a Textile Designer, based in Chennai. The Textile Designer will conceptualize and create innovative textile and graphic designs, including prints and embroidery patterns, that align with Craft Jam's vision. Responsibilities include developing original concepts, collaborating with artisans, sourcing materials, submitting design prototypes, and staying up-to-date with current trends in textiles and fashion. The role requires working closely with production teams to bring unique designs to life while upholding the highest standards of artistic quality.

• Proficiency in Textile Design, including creating patterns for textiles and prints
• Strong skills in Embroidery and experience in designing intricate embroidered patterns
• Expertise in Graphic Design with experience in creating compelling graphics for textile products
• Knowledge of different fabric types and basic understanding of weaving techniques is a plus
• Creative, innovative mindset with a keen eye for detail and current design trends
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Textiles, Fashion Design, or related fields
• Experience working with or designing for artisan-based projects is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
