Job Description

Job Purpose (Significance Of The Role & Objectives)

We are seeking a skilled Testing and Validation Engineer to support the development and certification of

electric vehicle subsystems. The role involves executing test methodologies, acquiring and analyzing data

using specialized tools, and contributing to pre-homologation and homologation processes to ensure

compliance with AIS, CMVR, and IS standards.

Key Responsibilities And Deliverables

  • Develop and execute test methodologies for EV subsystems, including battery packs, electric powertrains, braking systems, electronic power steering, seats, and safety systems.
  • Operate CAN data-loggers, sensors (e.g., accelerometers, strain gauges, temperature sensors), and data acquisition tools for real-time monitoring and performance validation.
  • Conduct in-house testing for mechanical properties, energy consumption, and off-road durability using equipment like dynamometers, shakers, and environmental chambers.
  • Analyze test data in tools like Excel or MATLAB to generate reports, identify anomalies, and recommend design improvements.
  • Support pre-homologation testing (e.g., prototype validation) and homologation processes (e.g., type approval documentation) in line with Indian regulatory requirements for N1 vehicles.
  • Collaborate with R&D, certification teams, and vendors to define test procedures, calibrate equipment, and ensure traceability.
  • Maintain test records, safety protocols, and lab infrastructure for repeatable, reliable results.

Desired Qualifications: Required Qualification, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 3+ years of hands-on experience in automotive testing, preferably EVs.
  • Working knowledge of development test methodologies for EV subsystems (e.g., battery thermal management, motor efficiency, chassis dynamics).
  • Proficiency with CAN data-loggers (e.g., Vector, Kvaser), sensors, and data acquisition systems (e.g.,NI DAQ, Dewesoft).
  • Brief understanding of pre-homologation (internal validation) and homologation test methodologies per AIS/CMVR standards.
  • Strong data analysis skills using Excel, Python, or similar; familiarity with CAD for fixture design is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills for cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for electric vehicles, off-roading, and regulatory compliance.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge EV projects with real-world impact.
  • Competitive salary, health benefits, and professional growth in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Access to advanced testing facilities and industry-leading tools
