Role Description This full-time on-site role, based in Chennai, is for a Testing and Commissioning Engineer (EEE). The engineer will perform electrical testing and commissioning activities for power generation, transmission, distribution systems, and substations, ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety regulations. Daily responsibilities include executing test protocols, analyzing test results, identifying and troubleshooting faults, and preparing detailed reports and documentation. The role involves coordinating with project teams and clients, supporting installation and startup activities, and ensuring timely completion of commissioning tasks. The engineer will also participate in inspections, quality checks, and continuous improvement of testing procedures.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Testing and Testing procedures for power systems and equipment.
  • Candidates should possess practical experience as Commissioning Engineers, including commissioning of substations, power plants, and related electrical infrastructure.
  • Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical faults and performance issues in complex systems.
  • Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a degree in EEE or a closely related discipline.
  • Candidates should possess familiarity with relevant standards, safety practices, and regulations for high- and low-voltage equipment.
  • Candidates should possess good documentation and reporting skills, including the ability to prepare test reports, commissioning records, and technical logs.
  • Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with site engineers, project managers, and clients.
  • Candidates should possess willingness to work on-site at project locations, adapt to field conditions, and follow health and safety guidelines.
  • Experience in power generation plants (thermal, hydro, biomass, gas) or grid substations is an added advantage.
