Roles and Responsibilities:
. Analyze system and software requirements to identify test scenarios and test cases
. Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for functional, integration, system, and regression testing
. Perform testing on embedded systems, including interaction with hardware where applicable
. Log, track, prioritize, and manage defects using JIRA
. Work closely with developers, system engineers, and product owners to understand functionality and resolve defects
. Participate in test planning, estimation, and review activities
. Ensure compliance with quality standards, especially for medical/regulated environments
. Prepare and maintain test documentation such as test plans, test cases, test reports, and traceability matrices
. Support validation and verification activities as required in regulated products
. Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications:
. 6-8 years of experience in software testing, preferably in embedded and/or regulated domains
. Strong hands-on experience in manual testing
. Good working knowledge of JIRA or similar defect tracking tools
. Experience or exposure to embedded software testing
. Solid understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC)
. Ability to analyze requirements and identify edge cases
. Good documentation and reporting skills
. Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills:
. Experience in the medical device / healthcare domain
. Knowledge of automation testing (any tool or framework)
. Understanding of regulatory standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 13485, or FDA guidelines
. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
