Global Job Profile: Portfolio / Program Test & Quality Manager:

Purpose:

The Portfolio/Program Test & Quality Manager sets the strategic direction for Quality Assurance and Testing, to drive continuous improvement across the IT function whilst protecting the live service and appropriately managing delivery risks at the portfolio and whole organization level.

Key Accountabilities:

The Portfolio/Program Test & Quality Manager manages and is accountable for the testing and quality program delivery plan, negotiates the ongoing purpose and deliverables of the test effort and ensures that all testing personnel are delivering to agreed plan and managing team productivity. They help the testing team to understand and resolve any concerns before they escalate into issues and provide up to date data, status and judgement on projects as required. They review on a regular basis the estimates and assumptions to ensure that they still hold true and re-forecast as often as appropriate. Also, they work with the test management community to ensure sharing of experiences, best practices and lessons learnt. They ensure that the senior management and stakeholders are informed about issues before they escalate and can intervene as appropriate.

Drive daily adoption of approved AI tools and accelerators across test management activities (e.g., requirements analysis, test design, execution oversight, defect triage, reporting) to improve quality and cycle time.

Experience

• More than 10-year experience as Test Manager
• Drive daily adoption of approved AI tools and accelerators across test management activities (e.g., requirements analysis, test design, execution oversight, defect triage, reporting) to improve quality and cycle time.
• Ensure the team consistently uses the agreed toolset and remains current (versions, prompts/standards, governance, training), monitoring usage and addressing gaps through coaching and continuous improvement.
• Track record of using AI to materially change how QA Activities (Review user story, test design, test scenario design, test data preparation, etc...) were done - can describe before and after

Technical Skills – Proficiency in:

• Test Management tools: ADO and/or JIRA (addons such as Xray/Testrail, etc.)
• Testing automation tools (UFT, Selenium, Playwright, etc.) would be highly valuated
• Analyze and custom SQL, .NET and J2EE solutions
• AI tools: Copilot, Claude Code, Agentic AI
