Test Module Lead - Playwright & TypeScript/JavaScript

Years of Experience: 5 to 7 Years

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Test Module Lead with good hands on experience in Playwright and TypeScript or JavaScript. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of testing frameworks and a proven track record of managing complex projects. This role requires a strong focus on quality assurance and the ability to manage the stakeholders and delivering high-quality software solutions. MCP (Model Context Protocol) Playwright exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop quality test artefacts and delivery high-quality software products.
  • Utilize Playwright for automated testing, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and product managers, to define testing scope and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including status reports and risk assessments.
  • Implement best practices for software testing and quality assurance, leveraging Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript frameworks.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in the usage of Playwright and related technologies.
  • Has good knowledge on the defect management cycle and is able to identify quality functional defects and report the same with all the relevant details.
  • Participate in defect triage meetings and help reproduce the defects.

Mandatory Skills

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in software testing of web application.
  • Strong experience in developing quality automation scripts using Playwright & TypeScript framework.
  • Strong in developing quality automation scripts for UI and API modules of the application.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
