Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Work in rotating shifts to ensure maximum availability of:
  • Assembly equipment (Paste printer, chip mounter, reflow oven, PCB loader/unloader, conveyors)
  • Support equipment (Pneumatic presses, soldering stations, PCB cutting machines, ionizers, selective soldering)
  • Test equipment (ICT, EOL, FFT)
  • Warehouse equipment (BOPT, HOPT, dock levelers)
  • Assign tasks to maintenance technicians and monitor their work during shifts.
  • Perform Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance on all equipment.
  • Analyze downtime, take corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct systematic RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for recurring and prolonged breakdowns.
  • Drive skill development for technicians and operators via training and knowledge sharing.
  • Support NPI/ECN/VE/CE activities including new process/product trials, equipment installation, and layout changes.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities in assembly processes.
  • Seek continuous improvement in existing processes.
  • Drive Autonomous Maintenance (TPM) at all applicable equipment.
  • Ensure HSE compliance within the maintenance function.
  • Participate actively in daily tier meetings to address operational issues.
  • Track and maintain metrics such as MTTR, MTBF, OEE.
  • Maintain spares inventory as a contingency plan.
  • Coordinate with Buyers to create PRs for spare parts and external vendor services.
  • Manage AMC schedules and support for breakdown maintenance.
  • Ensure availability of necessary tools for maintenance activities.
  • Keep maintenance records in line with retention policy requirements.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electronics from a recognized college.
  • 5–8 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency with SMT, TH, selective soldering, ICT, FCT, SPM, pneumatic press assembly, etc.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings for manufacturing equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with PM/TPM programs.
  • Exposure to automation technologies (e.g., Robotics, PLC) is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and dedicated to work.
  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English.
